Enable filtered view option

I would like to be able to display a map with a filtered view, without having to create a new map. Use case example: A business directory map contains all businesses. I want to share a view that shows ONLY restaurants, and does not show any other categories by default. (Users should be able to engage with the map regularly, but the inital view defaults to the sorted version.) I want to be able to have one master map, and not have to update multiple sub-maps each time the master changes.
